SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The 10th-ranked Pacific Tigers followed a similar script for day one of the 2017 Golden Coast Conference Women's Championships, using a good start to move into the semifinals. The second-seeded Tigers claimed a 15-3 win over seventh-seeded Fresno Pacific on Friday.

The Tigers scored the game's first four goals and held a 12-1 lead going into the final quarter as tjhey advance to the first semifinal on Saturday, Apr. 29 against LMU at 12 noon.

Redshirt freshman first-team All-GCC selection Kyra Christmas (FR/Calgary, Alberta, Canada) scored five goals with three assists and two steals to push the Tigers (18-8) to the next round.

Pacific's defense, led by goalie Alexis Hollinrake (JR/Redlands, CA) with six saves and three steals, held GCC leading scorer and Newcomer of the Year Amber Penney (FR/Cape Town, South Africa) to just one goal on four shots.
