LOS ANGELES -- LMU scored the first seven goals of their first round match, and the second-seeded Lions advanced to the semifinals of the 2014 Golden Coast Conference Championships with a 19-6 win over No. 7 seed Fresno Pacific on Thursday afternoon.


GCC Player of the Year Alexandra Honny scored six goals and five different Lions had five or more goals. The Lions led 7-2 after one and 12-4 at the break.

Nia Apodaca and Alyssa Stevens had two goals each for the Sunbirds.

LMU will play Santa Clara in the first semifinal of the 2014 GCC Championships on Friday at 1 pm.
